Paul Edward Sypolt

Paul Edward Sypolt, 83, of Terra Alta, WV died Friday, October 7, 2022 at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood with his daughter by his side.

He was born August 30, 1939 in Preston County and was the son of the late Ottie Edward Sypolt.

Paul was a devout Christian who loved serving his Lord and church. He was a co-founder of the Kingwood Apostolic Church where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent. For many years he enjoyed working in his auto body shop repairing and painting cars. He especially enjoyed working on the older ones. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His joy was hanging out and laughing with his family and his good buddy Joe.

Paul is survived by four sons and spouses, Paul T. Sypolt of Beeville, Texas, Butch Sypolt of Valley Point, WV, Steven and Grace Sypolt of Terra Alta, WV , and James and Ruby Pirotta of Homosassa, Florida; one daughter, Brenda Sypolt and fiancé Joe Dagenais of Morgantown, WV; one brother, Carl Sypolt of Terra Alta, WV; two grandchildren and spouse, Paul and Amanda Sypolt II of Beeville, Texas, and Amber Sypolt of Reedsville, WV; two grandchildren, Steven Wyatt Sypolt and Taylor Elizabeth Sypolt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Esther Elizabeth Sypolt; his daughter, Donna Lou Sypolt.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Kingwood Funeral Home Chapel from 12-2:00 pm the funeral hour with Mr. Nathan Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Valley Point, WV.
