Phyllis Kay (Cooper) Biggins, 79, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at her home. She was born On May 2, 1945 in Xenia, OH, daughter of the late Ben Weir Cooper and Margaret Elizabeth (Farquhar) Cooper.
Phyllis was a graduate of Xenia High School in Xenia, OH. She worked as an office clerk for Westinghouse. Phyllis loved to read the Bible and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Glen Burnie, MD, and the Independent Baptist Church in Kingwood, where she enjoyed working in the kitchen during the Wildwood Christian Retreat. She liked to use her spare time crafting.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rodney “Tom” Biggins Jr.; two daughters, Marlena Kay Biggins North, of Tunnelton, WV, Lisa Ann Smith (Rusty), of Lexington, SC; two brothers, Richard Cooper, of Dayton, OH, Don Cooper, of Great Falls, VA; and one sister, Margaret Kroschke, of Cincinnati, OH.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mac Cooper.
Friends and family will be received at the Independent Baptist Church, 917 N. Preston Hwy., Kingwood, WV 26537, on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11 am until the 12 pm funeral hour with Pastor Terry Cumberland officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
