Robert Leroy Hemerick

Robert Leroy Hemerick, 91, of Rowlesburg, WV, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his home. He was born October 30, 1933 in Rowlesburg, son of the late Ervin R. and Mary Ann (Miller) Hemerick.

Robert was a mechanic at Interstate Lumber for over thirty years. He was a member of the Rowlesburg Lions Club and the Christ United Methodist Church of Rowlesburg.

Robert is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 60 years, Bonnie Jo (Runner) Hemerick; three sons, Robert Hemerick (Crysti), of Parsons, Bryan Hemerick (Susie), of Rowlesburg,  Allen Hemerick, of Rowlesburg; great granddaughter, Kylie Hemerick, of Rowlesburg; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Hemerick, Tyler Hemerick, Lucas Hemerick, Rayann Hemerick; two step grandchildren, J.D. Taylor, Chris Taylor; two great grandchildren, Gabe Bolyard, Adalynn Hemerick; special nephew, John Hemerick (Donna); special niece, Mary Wagner; two close friends, Paul Riggs, and Darl Nestor.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence Hemerick, George Hemerick, John Hemerick, Edward Hemerick, Homer Hemerick; two sisters, Ruth Knotts and Dorothy Sigley.
