Ronald Allen Hixenbaugh, Sr.

Ronald Allen Hixenbaugh, Sr., 67, of Kingwood, passed away, Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown. He was born August 8, 1955, a son of the late Harold Milton Hixenbaugh and Sarah Faye (Funk) Hixenbaugh. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Virginia (Davis) Hixenbaugh in 2000.

Ronald worked for Greer Limestone as a supervisor and blaster, and most recently as a security guard for Alpine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting on the front porch, working on guns and cars, and spending time at the Eagles club with his friends.

Surviving are:  his longtime companion Cheryl Bucklew; two children, Ronald Allen Hixenbaugh, Jr., and Travis Shawn Hixenbaugh, both of Kingwood; two grandchildren, Issac Nathaniel Hixenbaugh, and Kinslee Ann Hixenbaugh, and one grandchild on the way; nine siblings, Delmis Hixenbaugh and wife Linda, Wilma Mayne and husband Pete, Linda “Sue” Likens and husband John, Dorothy Hixenbaugh, Kathy Hixenbaugh, all of Rowlesburg, Brenda DeWitt of Kingwood, Bonnie Hixenbaugh, of Rowlesburg, Nancy Henline, of SC, Patricia Hovatter and husband Michael, of Kingwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 11 am until the time of service. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1:00 pm Monday.  Pastor Ray Frankhouser officiating.  Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rowlesburg.
