Rosemary (Palaisa) Hess

  Rosemary Palaisa Hess, age 65, of Albright, “Almost Heaven “ WV (formerly of Fairbank, PA) passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.  She was born on April 21, 1959 in Uniontown. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Stella (Sanko) Palaisa of Fairbank. 

     During her childhood, you could always find Rose rollerskating at the Crystal Palace. She loved dogs and cats and would often take in a stray. She loved the Steelers, Mountaineers, and Chiefs. She was adored as the fun aunt by her niece and nephews. She always brought  love and laughter wherever she went. 

     Rosemary graduated from Brownsville High School in 1977.  She worked for several years as an X-ray technician at the Uniontown Hospital before moving to Albright. She then worked as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and Mammographer at Preston Memorial Hospital, J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, and Garrett Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 2021. As a resident of Albright, she proudly served as mayor for several years. 

       Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, brother, Jerome Palaisa, sister, Renne Palaisa Kremposky, brother in law, Jerry Kremposky, father-in-law, Foster Hess, and brother-in-law, Foster Hess Jr. 

     She is survived by her loving husband, Darrin Hess, mother-in-law, Shirley Hess, brother James Palaisa and Joann Sabato, brother-in-law, Bradley Hess and Sara, niece, Janice Pasquale and Lou, and nephews, Jerry Kremposky Jr. and Kelly, Steve Palaisa and Kelly, Ben Palaisa and Kristen.  Aunt Rosie will be greatly missed by great nieces and nephews, Lucia Pasquale, Lucas and Logan Kremposky, Stevie and Samantha Palaisa, and her loving fur babies, Jake, Stella, Mischief, and Rascal.

     As per Rosemary’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead a celebration of her life will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Darrin Hess 74 2nd St. Albright, WV 26519.
