Roy Lee Newlon

Roy Lee Newlon, 61, of Kingwood, passed away October 29, 2023, at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born January 18, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Carl George Newlon, Sr. and Betty Lou (Pumphreys) Newlon. His wife of 38 years, Joann DeBerry, preceded him in death.

Surviving are: one sister, Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Newlon, of Kingwood; three sons, Steve DeBerry and wife Amy, of Reedsville, Patrick DeBerry, of Reedsville, and Christopher Riley, of Kingwood; one daughter, Brittany Riley, of Kingwood; 3 Grandchildren; and one great grandchild; a special niece Makayla Zweyer, of Reedsville; a special nephew, Scott Newlon and Laurie and their children, of Tunnelton; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by: one son Michael DeBerry; one sister, Janice Moats; three brothers, David Allen Newlon, Carl George Newlon, Jr., and John Henry Newlon.

Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV is handling cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
