Russell Goines Jr.

Russell “Russ” Goines Jr., died on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Russ was born February 17, 1952, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Russell and Marietta Jane (McDonald) Goines Sr.

He was a 1970 graduate of Kingwood High School. He followed his mother’s ways and would give to others before meeting his own needs. He enjoyed coaching baseball, football and basketball. He would refer to Blackwater Falls as a second mother and enjoyed time there fishing with his family. Russ loved music but most of all he loved cooking, which led him to own and operate his business, Russ’s Ribs, which he was so well known for. He is survived by four sons and spouses, Jeremy and Johnna Goines of Albright, John and Ashley Goines of Kingwood, Jason Goines and companion Nichole Lovejoy of Masontown, Jesse and Kristina Goines of Terra Alta; one brother, Frank Goines of Reedsville, 13 Grandchildren, Paige, Alexis, Quentin, Myah, Ashton, Jaden, Layla, Jeremiah Goines, Hailey Goines. Kylan, Russell, Griffin Goines. Josiah Goines. 4 Great grandchildren are Amar'e Floyd, Isaiah, Kingston and Megan Williams

Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 3:00-8:00 pm and on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Jonathon and Phyllis Anderson officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
