Shawn Keiper Obituary

Shawn Christopher Keiper, 50, of Reedsville, WV, and formerly of Terra Alta, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 27, 1974, son of the late Sherri (Wright) Ashby.

Shawn was a graduate of Preston High School. He liked everything Star Wars, discussing politics, and was a collector of comic books and lighthouses. Shawn enjoyed putting puzzles together with his daughter.

Shawn is survived by his daughter, Aliya Hope Keiper; his daughter’s mother, Alice Rutherford, of Reedsville; one brother, Brian Ashby; and one sister, Lori Ashby-Taylor.

Cremation services will be accorded by Terra Alta Funeral Home and Cremation, 1112 W. State Ave., Terra Alta, WV. Online condolences can be sent to www.terraaltafuneralhomewv.com.
