Stephen Grant Martin

Stephen Grant Martin, 75, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at his home. Stephen was born on July 1, 1950 in Kingwood, son of the late Guy Earl and Opal Marie (Trickett) Martin.

Stephen graduated from Kingwood High School in 1968. Following graduation, he proudly joined the US Navy, where he served for six years in the Fire Control Department on a nuclear submarine.  He was a machinist by trade, working mostly for Preston Machine. Stephen was a member of the VFW Post #826. He will be remembered as an easy-going guy with a love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Stephen is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Linnie Elizabeth (Miller) Martin; a son, Stephen Martin and wife Stephanie, of Kingwood; a sister, Deborah Martin Grimes and husband Raymond, of Kingwood; a step daughter, Kelly Burow and husband William, of Friendsville, MD; a stepson, Craig DeBerry and wife April, of Kingwood; seven grandchildren, Hunter Burow, Victoria Weaver, Alexis Glotfelty, Brooke DeBerry, Gabriel Martin, Julian Martin, Van Martin; one great grandson, Liam Burow; and several nieces and nephews that all had a special relationship with him.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Martin and a brother, Victor Guy Martin.
