Thelma Nellie (Moats) Stonebreaker, age 71, of Kingwood, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Kingwood Healthcare Center. She was born in Kingwood, WV, March 11, 1953, a daughter of the late Harvey Allen Moats and Pearl Leona (Simmons) Moats.
Thelma was a homemaker and caregiver. She loved animals especially horses. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are: one son, Harvey Allen Moats, Jr.; two brothers, Clarence Moats and Burt Moats; one sister Margaret Larue; five grandchildren, Brian, Sue Ann, James, Ronald and Joseph and Crystal; and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: two brother, Richard and Dewey Moats; and four sisters, Nellie, Geraldine, Bonnie, and Madaline.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Kingwood Funeral Home & Crematory, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV 26537. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. service officiated by Celebrant Sidney Felouzis that will also honor Grimmy, her son Harvey’s beloved dog.
