Thomas "Thom" Allen Loughry

Thomas Allen Loughry, 56, of Terra Alta passed away in Morgantown, Friday, April 28, 2023, with his family at his side. He was born September 2, 1966, in Kingwood, WV, the son of the late James “Crickett” Loughry and Orpha (Rogers) Loughry who survives in Rowlesburg.

Thom was a 1984 graduate of Rowlesburg High School, and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State College, where he also played baseball.  He was a real estate appraiser and the owner of S and T Appraisals. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, feeding his birds, and fishing. He loved farming, ice cream, and M & Ms, but mostly loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Rowlesburg Lodge #165 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of Macomber Church. Thom loved and supported 4-H throughout his life.

In addition to his mother and fiancé’ Susan Daetwyler, he is survived by: two children, Jacob Loughry and Meagan Loughry, both of Rowlesburg; one sister, Marsha Loughry Wolfe, of Rowlesburg; step children, Abby Deem and Jeremiah, of Terra Alta, and Michael Daetwyler and Kaylee, of Texas; grandchildren; Delaney, Branch, and Sunny. Two nephews, Dennis (DJ) and Dylan Wolfe.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, Tuesday, May 2nd from 4-7 pm. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, May 3rd at 11 am at the Sinclair Cemetery in Rowlesburg. Those attending the graveside service will go in procession to the cemetery from the funeral home at 10 am. Masonic graveside rites will be accorded by the Rowlesburg Lodge #165 A.F. & A. M.
